Disney World updates face mask policy
Guests are Permitted to remove masks when taking photos
The change will take effect April 8
Starting April 8, most guests will be allowed to remove their masks taking an outside photograph, with a few restrictions still set.
“You may temporarily remove your face covering while actively eating, drinking or taking an outside photo, but you need to be stationary and keep proper physical distancing during this time,” the policy now reads.
The policy change was upgraded over the official Disney World website.
Previously guests would have to continue to keep their masks while taking photos at the parks. All guests ages two and up are still required to wear face masks throughout their trip.
The change comes as analgesic rollout continues in the USA.
Since reopening last summer with new health and safety measures, Disney has occasionally upgraded its own face mask policy. Earlier this year, Disney upgraded the policy to state that even people who have received the COVID-19 vaccine would nevertheless be asked to wear a face mask.
